Google stops phishing scam within an hour
Google, yesterday, acted quickly to quickly shut down a phishing scam that was spreading using Google Docs.
Users who clicked a link, and followed specific instructions risked sending the email on to everyone in their address book.
Google stopped the attack by removing fake pages and applications.
Google says that users do not need to take further action. I would strongly recommend that everyone regularly check which third party apps connect to their accounts, do this using Google Security Checkup.
